..the role of a man and a woman shouldn't be defined by scripts written thousands of years ago...the role should be defined by the couple themselves, however they see fit in their marriage...this is a diversified society, there are many forms of marriage...as long as the couple manages to make it work (for themselves and their children), the roles are theirs to define..women's role in the church system has been something of controversy in the past and will continue to be one for the foreseeable future.
what's promising, for the matter regarding GLBT community, the Pope already said "who am I to judge"...I'd like the church to come out and clarify this to the next level - is GLBT acceptable by the church, or not...Is it a mere "tolerance", or true heartily "welcome" and "accept"?
