" Do you know what is the biggest difference between Canadian people and we Asian people that I've found?" Chang一边开车，一边问我。他开车的时候总是坐的很端正的，两手搭在方向盘上。
我侧着头看着他，"I don't know, what's that?" 我是很想知道答案的，因为他总能说出一些颇有道理，富有见地的话。
"You guess." 他冲我一笑。
"Give me some hint then."
"No hint." 我估计他是想给我一些hint的，只是不知道该怎么用英文说。
"Then no guess, just tell me."
他微笑的停顿了一会儿，仍然目光注视着前方。"It is the attitude to thank, to appreciate." "You know, there is a lot of difference between Canadian people and Asian people, but they are all common. Only this I didn't expect before."
我有点懂，又有点不懂。"What do you mean?"
他在那儿想，我知道他在想该如何表达。Chang的英语不是很好。
"You mean they are much easier to be satisfied?"
"Not satisfied." 他说，"Yeah, something like that." 然后他转向我，“You know our Asian people are very difficult to say thank. But here Canadian people they always say thank, express appreciation very easily and more important, for example, when something happen, even though it is a small thing, they will appreciate. And they will not just say 'it is beautiful.' Instead, they always say 'OH, it is Gorgeous, it is just Marvelous'" 他说得时候在刻意模仿,做着很夸张的动作，然后我就哈哈大笑。
Chang也很得意的手抚着方向盘笑。"You know, western people always think Japanese is the best Asian people, because Japanese people are always very polite, always say thank you for this, thank you for that, but you know, it is not from heart, they just say it."
我同意。”It is a kind of fake."
"Yeah." Chang在日本呆过一年，对日本也是颇有心得的。
