Help Spread the News About Tickets to Karmapa's Public Teachings

Dear Friends in the Dharma,
Karmapa is coming to America! We are writing to share some exciting news about the visit and to ask for your help.

In the next couple of weeks tickets will go on sale for His Holiness the 17th Karmapa's public teachings in New York City, Boulder and Seattle. An email will be sent to you announcing when tickets are on sale.

Because time will be short between the announcement of ticket sales and His Holiness' arrival in the U.S., we would like to ask for your help in spreading the news so we can ensure that everyone who wishes to see Karmapa in America gets a chance to do so.

In particular, we request that all Dharma centers connected to His Holiness Karmapa kindly help spread the news by letting their students, members and contacts know when tickets for the public teachings have gone on sale. The visit organizing committee relies on national, regional and local Buddhist sanghas to spread the news and help make His Holiness Karmapa's historic first visit to the U.S. a successful one.

Individuals are also welcome to help spread the news by forwarding the announcement to interested friends, family and fellow practitioners.

Spreading the news through our sangha networks when tickets go on sale is one of the most important ways that sanghas and individuals will be able to support His Holiness Karmapa's tour.

            本来是个普通的藏族小孩，一下子被捧到法王的位子，有几十亿的庙产不能用。有帽子不敢带。每天看着信众不断地离开。这个不是一般人能承受的心理压力----从国王到贫民。

            其实，由谁来传法是无所谓了，因为那个小孩也是学习白教的经典。历史上搞错小孩，然后下一世又回归正统的事件也屡见不鲜。如果我是那个没有帽子的，我就隐居不出来了。这样至少不会导致一个小孩的心理扭曲。
